About Us

I have been a professional flag and banner maker since 1982. It is truly an art and I feel passionate about the work I do and all of the wonderful people I have met over the years through my work. I owned and operated a flag shop called Flying Colors on Thames Street in Newport, Rhode Island for nearly 14 years. We had a retail store that serviced homeowners, businesses, America's Cup teams, hundreds of boaters, both power, and sail, as well as many of the US Navy ships stationed there.

Fast forward to 2007 and to Seattle, Washington. With the help of my daughter, Zera, I was able to re-establish our business through the internet. Many of our old customers, who became part of the family in Newport, are once again hoisting their flags. Our new customers are just as thrilled to have found such a treasure.
